Microsoft has indeed signed a new exclusivity with the Danish studio IO Interactive.
The creators of Hitman are indeed working on a new Xbox Series exclusive, confirmed an internal document revealed by Microsoft on Tuesday. The Redmond firm, which is currently trying to convince the FTC that its acquisition of Activision Blizzard will not lead to market destabilization, was forced to reveal confidential documents on Tuesday, one of which confirms the existence of a project entrusted to the IO Interactive studio.
According to the document in question, Project Dragon would be an RPG taking place in a fantasy universe in which dragons will play a central role. If no details are revealed, a rumor had already mentioned the development of a triple A game in open World by IO on behalf of Xbox studios.
If Microsoft produces most of its exclusives internally, the publisher publishes each year several titles entrusted to external studios such as Flight Simulator (Asobo) or more recently As Dusk Falls.
While the title hasn’t been revealed yet, it’s supposedly been in development for three years. His presentation could therefore be imminent.
Remember that in addition to this title, IO Interactive is also working on a James Bond game in the world of spy 007.
