Initially announced for October 12, Ubisoft has just announced that the release date would be brought forward by one week.

For once, this is an announcement that will please fans of the franchise. The next Assassin’s Creed game, dubbed Mirage, will be released a week earlier than expected.

Announced for October 12, it will finally be released on October 5, Ubisoft promised in a tweet. A decision which confirms at least that the publisher considers the game ready to be sold and played.

Three years following the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft has decided to review its copy for this new episode presented as a return to basics. Much shorter and on a more restricted playground (the city of Baghdad in the year 861), this new episode will give pride of place to infiltration, thus recalling the first episodes.

A release on October 5 will allow Assassin’s Creed Mirage to get ahead of the competition that promises to be fierce in October: The Lords of the Fallen on October 13, Alan Wake II on October 17 and especially Spider-Man 2 on October 20.
