The news about the shutdown of the Polygon blockchain was a duck

Due to the shutdown of Polygonscan, which monitors Polygon’s network posts speculating whether Polygon’s blockchain had also temporarily shut down first appeared last night. A Polygonscan allows for users to search and analyze transactions, addresses, prices and all kinds of activity on Polygon’s chain, which is exactly why many have drawn such conclusions.

Polygon produced the blocks stably

The first rumors and posts appeared on February 22 that the Polygon chain may have shut down. Polygonscan showed that not a single block had been processed for an hour and a half. Since then, the team behind Polygon has clarified that some nodes caused the problem. These failed to validate for a short time, but this did not mean that the production of blocks on the chain stopped. However, on the evening of February 22, a representative of Polygon’s team said that the performance of the network dropped significantly due to the loss of nodes. Since then, however, the nodes have been resynchronized and Polygon now works as we are used to.

Moreover, Polygonscan seems to be working for some time. But if someone is still distrustful, they can feel free to use another blockchain monitoring app. The explosion of rumors also had a precedent, as Polygon completely shut down on March 11, 2022, and this was not the first time in its history. Posts published on social media immediately suggested that such problems may be more common these days. Because Polygon Labs will soon lay off 20% of all its employees.
