The new version of the Tesla Model Y will make everyone agree

To say that the Tesla Model Y is a success is a pleonasm. The SUV allows the American manufacturer to continue to show insolent growth in a gloomy market. And these are neither recurring remindersnor the potential dangers of Autopilot which seem able to curb its success. Not even a pretty price of more than €68,000 until now, since it was only offered in its most powerful versions with dual engines and four-wheel drive (Great Autonomy and Performance).

The arrival of a more modest variant should make it possible to drive the point home, since the latter is displayed at… €49,990! At this price, the buyer will have a single engine (Tesla never communicates the powers) but still more than honest performance: 6.9 seconds for 0 to 100 km/h and 217 km/h peak. He will also have to accept some concessions on autonomy (430 or 455 km depending on whether he has opted for 20 or 19-inch rims), and accept slightly longer loads, the power being limited to 170 kW, once morest 250 kW for other variants. But in any case, it remains at the top of the compact SUV basket.

This new version of the Model Y benefits as standard from theAutopilot, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel and the Premium Audio system made up of 13 speakers. The manufacturer specifies, however, that the first models expected from us in December 2022 will be produced in the Shanghai factory, and not in Berlin.
