In recent months, WhatsApp has been improving its messaging application at the user experience level. For this reason, it has been introducing new features such as the new tool in group chats that allows you to create a live call room within the conversation itself or blocking chats using secret codes.
Well now, in addition, the company Mark Zuckerberg has released another new improved functionality of this latest feature. As announced months ago by Meta, the parent company of Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, there will be a new option to block chats even if the person accesses the mobile with the username and password.
The latest from WhatsApp: the ‘anti-gossip’ block
Until now, this option was only available on the mobile device, but not on other linked devices, such as WhatsApp Web or if the application is opened from a tablet, for example. An error that has now been resolved, as reported by the specialized portal WABetaInfo.
That is, if someone takes your cell phone, knows your password or access pattern and accesses the application, you will not be able to see the conversations that you, as the owner of the device, have blocked from being read.
This is a novelty that will be available in beta version 2.24.4.14 of the messaging ‘app’ for Android soon to guarantee “protection from prying eyes regardless of the device used.”
However, at the moment there is no release date for this new functionality, since it is still in the development phase, but it is known that as soon as the chat is blocked from the main device using a secret code, It will be automatically blocked on other devices that are linked.
