The secretary general of the province of Gourma, Yaya Koné, officially installed the new prefect of the department of Fada N’Gourma, Jérôme Kampadilemba Idani, on August 22, 2022 in the city of Yendabri.

Mr. Idani, also president of the special delegation of the urban municipality of Fada, is committed to meeting the challenges of the moment for the happiness of the populations.

The new prefect thanked the Burkinabè government for the trust placed in his modest person and said he measured the immensity of the task awaiting him on the ground.

Jérôme Kampadilemba Idani has promised to consult and dialogue in the exercise of his new functions to develop the urban commune of Fada N’Gourma.

He succeeds the outgoing prefect, Boukari Sana who spent five (05) years, one (01) month and three (03) days at the head of this administrative district.

Mr. Sana expressed his gratitude to the highest authorities of the country for having entrusted him with the charge of this department during the period of social demands and security crisis.

According to him, the crisis of the traditional chieftaincy also affected social cohesion and living together during his stay in Fada N’Gourma.

Boukari Sana explained that his mission, which was to boost development in Gulmu, was finally resolved to the quest for social peace, given the security context.

He also dwelt, among other things, on the conduct of the Transition, the scarcity of resources and the management of people displaced by terrorism.

Appointed on August 3, Jérôme Kampadilemba Idan is a civil administrator and father of three children. He has a master’s degree in economics and management from Joseph Ki-Zerbo University in Ouagadougou.
