The Oppo Reno 7 is a good alternative to the brand’s premium smartphones. It has very interesting characteristics for a contained price. Launched today, this smartphone is already on sale at 299 euros instead of 329.90 euros.
The gamme Find X from Oppo is the best from the manufacturer, but for those with a more limited budget, the Reno range seems to be the most interesting. It wants to be more affordable, with all the same solid arguments on paper. The seventh iteration has just been formalized and is already seeing its price drop thanks to this reduction of 30 euros on its price.

A well-mastered formula
The Oppo Reno 7 takes up the angular design of its predecessor for a good grip. Its appearance is far from disappointing, with a well-groomed and thin look (7.5 mm thick). It has a 6.4-inch panel, like its predecessor, and is compact enough to slip into your pocket. Once turned on, we appreciate finding a beautiful AMOLED panel in FHD + definition, taking advantage of a refresh rate of 90 Hz for more fluid navigation.
Quite similar to the previous model, the Reno 7 focuses on the photo part. Oppo’s new smartphone features a 64-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel microscope sensor, with 15x and 30x magnification. The latter was also present on the Find X3 Pro, but which was 3 megapixels and a magnification up to 30x once morest 60x. A fairly gimmicky mode, but one that can be fun. Oppo puts the package on the software part with the AI, which would make it possible to have natural renderings and which with its Portrait Pro mode promises to take portraits close to the quality of a digital SLR.
A balanced technical sheet, without too many concessions
On the performance side, this smartphone is powered by the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 coupled with 8 GB of RAM. This is an entry-level chip that we have already discovered on Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 11. This configuration will be more than enough to consult your social networks, do web browsing, support multitasking and some games. Only problem is his 5G compatibility, which is missing here. However, we appreciate that Oppo delivers its new smartphone under Android 12 with its home interface ColorOS 12 — enough to enjoy a fluid and pleasant user experience on a daily basis.
Finally, to keep up the pace, the Reno 7 has a slightly beefier battery than its predecessor (4,500 mAh once morest 4,300 mAh), to be able to last a day without worries. On the other hand, on the fast charge side, Oppo ignores its 65 W SuperVOOC 2.0 charge, available on the Reno 6. The new model is still entitled to a 33 W fast charge, which ensures a charge at 50 % in 30 minutes.
