The new M’vadhy health center is operational –

The Minister of Health, Pr Adrien Mougougou, officially inaugurated the M’vadhy health center (82 kilometers from Makokou, provincial capital of Ogooué-Ivindo, northeast). Like its predecessors, built under the PASS 2 program, the new M’vadhy health center is distinguished by its energy autonomy, being able to operate thanks to solar energy and its generators.

This new health system, deployed in strategic areas within the country, within the framework of the Health Sector Support Program (PASS 2), aims to establish advanced health posts, including a maternal center specializing in biological pathologies.

“This infrastructure is full of a maternity service with an ultrasound scanner, a delivery table, autoclaves, a small laboratory and an outpatient department. In M’vadhy as elsewhere, it is a question of aligning with the requirements of complete modernization of health infrastructures, aimed at raising the quality of care offered to the population.”confided the PASS Coordinator, Wilfried Mando.

Through innovative training techniques, including a telemedicine system, medical staff will benefit from ongoing, high-quality capacity building for the acquisition of best practices. This commitment is essential to optimize care operations and ensure a work environment that promotes excellence.

Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Health demonstrates its desire to position itself at the forefront of modernity. The combination of cutting-edge medical technologies, autonomous water and electricity supply equipment; as well as continuous training of staff guarantees universal access to quality care for local populations.

“The M’vadhy health center will on the one hand improve the quality of diagnosis and on the other hand guarantee better working conditions for health personnel”confided the Minister of Health, Pr Adrien Mougougou.

The Health Sector Support Program (PASS 2) is based on a credit agreement signed in March 2016 between the government and the French Development Agency (AFD). Its main objective is to support the Ministry of Health in implementing the National Health Development Program with a view to improving healthcare management at the peripheral level.
