The Japanese brand Daihatsu, owned by the Toyota concern, released a small minivan called Move in 1995. The car became the founder of the kei car trend, which is in incredible demand in the “Land of the Rising Sun.”

The current generation Move appeared on the market in 2014, and its restyling dates back to 2017 (pictured below). Given the long break, the car will soon face a long-awaited change of generations. And we already have the first ideas of what it will look like.

A render of the new, seventh generation Daihatsu Move was published by the Japanese publication “BestCarWeb”, along with which it revealed certain details regarding this project.

Judging by computer renderings, the new interpretation of the Move will differ from its predecessor in a more aggressive design of the front end, where the headlights and radiator grille will change, as well as the bumper.

But the most important difference between the old and new model will be the design of the doors.

If the previous Move was equipped with the usual type of rear doors, then the modern one will receive sliding doors, on both sides at once. This solution will make it easier for passengers to get into and out of the car.

According to Japanese insiders, the premiere of the new Daihatsu Move was supposed to take place on July 3, 2023, but it had to be postponed due to problems with crash tests. The new date for the debut of the microvan is 2024.
