Like Zelda, the most anticipated Switch game of the year has leaked entirely online, although it will not be officially available until October 20.
This is a big blow for Nintendo, and it’s becoming a habit. The new Mario game, called Super Mario Bros. Wonder is already circulating online, illegally, even though the game will not be released until October 20.
Available on piracy sites, the game file has therefore allowed some to try the plumber’s new adventure, one of the last big releases on the current Switch console.
Nintendo, although very careful – particularly with the versions made available to the press – was once once more duped, following the piracy last April of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, two weeks before its release.
It’s hard to know where the leak came from, but all retailers now have the games in stock, a few days before release. If Nintendo has corrected flaws on its Switch to prevent piracy, the console remains one of the easiest to emulate on a PC.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder is not the only game to have leaked. His eternal rival, Sonic, has also been posted online illegally. Sonic Superstars, which is released on Switch this October 17, is already circulating this weekend on certain specialized forums.
