Canadians will be able to enjoy a brand new version of the LOTTO 6/49 lottery starting September 14, with the last prizes from the old draw to be awarded on September 10.

Players in this new draw will have a chance to win two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, a way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the LOTTO 6/49 lottery. Among the new changes, the Quick Pick draw will become the classic draw, and will offer a fixed prize of $5 million, with additional prizes.
On the other hand, Quebecers will not be able to take advantage of this new version of LOTTO 6/49 immediately since Loto-Québec announced on September 7 that the strike by its employees would lead to the postponement of this new draw in Quebec. Only the French-speaking province is affected by this delay.
