The new Iraqi parliament holds its first session

Today, Sunday, the new Iraqi parliament will hold its first session following the country’s Supreme Federal Court ratified the results of the parliamentary elections that took place on October 10, 2021.
The Iraqi parliament session will be chaired by Representative Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, as he is the oldest member, and then the oath is repeated.

According to Iraqi political sources, the parliament will adjourn its session today until agreements are reached between the winning blocs in the elections to nominate candidates for employment.
