The thing is an open secret, Apple is preparing a new version of his iMac Pro to replace the model launched in 2017… and removed from the range last year. For this new model, the firm would rely on a new design inspired by the “classic” iMac, launched in the spring of 2021, and on a more generous diagonal of 27 inches. Today we learn a little more regarding the firm’s marketing plans.

According to analyst Ross Young, specialized in the display industry, and sometimes well informed, Apple plans to launch its new iMac Pro next June. As reminded MacRumorsold rumors predicted a spring release of this iMac Pro a few months ago, but Ross Young spoke on the issue in January to talk regarding a launch during the summer instead.

Towards a launch a little earlier than expected?

At the time, the analyst indicated that shipments of mini-LED panels for the 2022 iMac Pro would begin in June. He therefore estimated that the device might go on the market in August or September, following a production period of two to three months. An estimate that he changed yesterday on Twitter: Apple’s supply chain would therefore have taken the lead.

Note that if the new iMac Pro arrives on the market in June, the device would logically be presented at WWDC 2022, expected in early June. It would not be the first time that Apple has taken advantage of this event to make hardware announcements, the Mac Pro and the Pro Display XDR screen, for example, were unveiled during the 2019 edition of this keynote.

MiniLED iMac Pro might launch in June. Some observers said no MiniLEDs, but we hear around 1000 zones and over 4000 miniLEDs.

The device would also have a mini-LED screen. According to information from Ross Young, this slab would include ” regarding 1000 areas » backlight and « more than 4000 mini LEDs ».
