the new electric 4L begins to show itself

Renault will unveil at the Paris Motor Show a concept car announcing the return of the 4L. The production version will be produced in France, in Maubeuge.

Renault thoroughly in the neo-retro. In addition to the R5, the Diamond brand will relaunch the 4L! The all-new model will be launched in 2025. But the manufacturer is preparing to give a taste of it with a concept car, which will be exhibited at the Paris Motor Show (from October 17 to 23).

With just under two weeks to go, the Losange is upping the ante with two teasers, which reveal the craft’s silhouette and styling cues. Gilles Vidal, head of design at Renault, was tasked with ” reinterpret with modernity an emblematic model that crossed the 60s, 70s and 80s by making an impression ».

We see it here with, for example, a horizontal and straight grille facing the road, which encompasses the rounded optics. The brand also highlights the third trapezium quarter window.

Renault also indicates that ” the show-car will also appeal to younger generations by celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 4L Trophy solidarity raid », a race reserved for students, who cover part of Africa in 4L. We guess on the teaser a very adventurous aspect for this concept, with large wheels, a raised ground clearance or even a gallery on the roof.

If Renault does not mention the technical sheet of the concept, we know that the new 4L will be 100% electric. It will share its underside with the new R5, taking over the CMF-BEV platform. Luca de Meo, the general manager of Losange, confirmed that this new 4L would be made in France. It will come out of the chains of Maubeuge, where the Kangoo is also assembled.
