The new Dynatrace headquarters will have space for 1,500 employees in the future

The starting signal for the redesign of the Dynatrace headquarters near the Mühlkreisautobahn (A7) has been given: the groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion project took place today. The heart of this is a seven-story campus with balconies and terraces that will be added to the existing building. Furthermore, the construction of a four-story parking garage plus three floors as an expansion reserve and publicly accessible green spaces is planned (parallel to the A7).

The design of the project originally looked completely different, but the controversial plans for a 17-story high-rise were rejected and the project was developed more broadly. This was made possible because the street Am 25er-Turm – which runs between the company’s existing buildings and a piece of land acquired for the project – was abandoned by the city and became part of the company’s premises. The design advisory board finally gave the green light for the revised plans in September 2022.

Dynatrace co-founder and head of technology Bernd Greifeneder emphasized today that before the company went public (which took place in 2019), it was difficult to bring international employees to Linz. Things are completely different now, Greifeneder sees a lot of potential in the location. There are currently more than 600 employees working in Linz, and with the expansion there will be around 1,500 on an area of 29,000 square meters.

In the future, research, development and the promotion of young talent will be even more concentrated and practiced in the new campus. This is also reflected in the planned childcare facility, which will have a MINT focus.
