The king Charles III today starred in a new controversy at the royal residence of Hillsborough Castle, Northern Ireland. It all happened at the end of her visit when she was signing a book and had to put the date, which she wrote wrong.
Then the monarch got angry because the pen was leaking and said “I can’t stand this damn thing”, while appearing to rub the ink off his fingers furiously.
Camilla, the queen consort, came to the rescue, suggesting he was leaking and asking for a replacement, as the king left the room flanked by his nervous-looking aides.
This new controversy comes days following another incident in which the monarch suddenly gestured furiously at one of his aides to remove a pot of ink.
