Is the PlayStation 5 Slim already available? Fans and big gamers are going to be surprised at the response.
All video game enthusiasts are on the starting blocks as soon as a new game or console is released. This is precisely what has happened recently. Indeed, a listing of a PS5 Slim was discovered at an Australian retailer. Internet users immediately got carried away thinking that Sony was regarding to announce the new console. But, to the chagrin of the players, it was a mistake of the next version of the PlayStation 5.
On the reseller’s web page was written that: « La PlayStation 5 plus fine with a new look – incredibly vivid and vibrant colors with HDR visuals and immersion at Breathtaking – whether you are gaming or watching movies and TV series. » An announcement that drove many fans crazy. Nevertheless, shortly following the discovery of the PS5 Slim listing, the most observant Internet users noticed that the information on the site was from 2021. So it looks like the retailer simply replaced the PS4’s “4” with a “5”.
PS5 Slim: a false alarm
The publication of the dealer was therefore a wrong track. But Sony has not said its last word! The company is still preparing a new console to replace the model released in November 2020. An announcement in June would be expected, but nothing has been confirmed yet. For those who don’t have the fifth version of the PlayStation, here are some interesting offers. You can find the PS5 Standard Edition at Fnac in a pack with the game God of War Ragnarok at 619.99 euros, or alone at 549.99 euros. At E.Leclerc, only the PS5 Digital Edition is available from the retailer, for 449 euros. All that remains is to wait a few months to discover a slimmer version of the PS5.
