The new condition of the Algerian consulate in Brussels

The Algerian Consulate General in Brussels has revealed new guidelines. According to a press release posted on its official Facebook page, the diplomatic representation indicates that from July 1, 2022, payment of stamp duties will be made “only by bank card”. Algerians will therefore no longer be able to pay in cash when they want to collect their documents such as a passport, a power of attorney or even a non-marriage certificate. Algerians are, according to the latest official figures, nearly 18,000 residing in Belgium, not counting the undocumented immigrants who live in this European country. The Algerians are also part of the largest North African community in Belgium, following the Moroccans and well ahead of the Tunisians. The majority of Algerians in Belgium live in the capital Brussels.
