Basketball players “Cleveland Cavaliers” passed drug tests the day following winning the NBA championship game, where their defenseman Donovan Mitchell scored 71 points, informs ESPN.
After the second quarter of the match with the Chicago Bulls, which took place on the night of January 3, Moscow time, Cleveland lost 18 points, but in the second half of the meeting they were able to return to the game and win in overtime – 145:134.
The biggest contributor to the Cleveland victory was Mitchell, who scored 71 points (the seventh player in NBA history to break 70 points in a game), grabbed eight rebounds and 11 assists, and scored a shot that helped the team take the game to overtime.
The NBA later admitted that Mitchell’s saving throw should not have counted because he broke the rules.
Mitchell claimed on Twitter that he was “quickly drug tested” the next morning, with three “laughter to tears” emojis. The club confirmed the information regarding the doping tests of other players.
As noted by ESPN, the agreement between the union and the league usually provides for four random doping tests of players during the season and two more in the offseason.
“Cleveland” in the next match on the night of January 5 will play with “Phoenix Suns”. Fonbet accepts bets on the victory of Cleveland with a coefficient of 1.53, on the victory of Phoenix with a coefficient of 2.50.
