The Popular Action congressmen are identified as ‘The Children’, and presumably obeyed orders from President Castillo.
Case ‘The Children’
As part of the first investigations, the National Prosecutor reports the visit of a representative of the China Civil Engineering Construction company to the office of legislator Doroteo on January 13, the same day that a good pro was granted to a consortium made up of China Camc Engineering CO and INIP Engineering Integration of Projects.
The National Prosecutor also reports that the Popular Action congressmen involved register income to the Government Palace, where they would have met with Castillo and former presidential advisers. He adds that former Minister Silva participated in some of the meetings.
In addition, the prosecution handles information on six Provías Nacional contracts in which INIP Engineering Integration of Projects SAC participated.
Silva in sight
Former Minister Silva is linked to irregular bidding for works, hiring officials and favoring businessmen.
The illicit acts that Silva is accused of allegedly form part of the plan of a criminal organization that recruited suppliers and directed selection processes for the award of works in favor of the companies Termirex SAC, Corporación Imaginación SAC and Grupo Arcose SAC, all of these linked to the same family clan, according to the prosecution.
