The King Salman Center for Disability Research received the team of the National Mental Health Survey Program headed by the Director of the Epidemiological Research Department and the principal investigator for the Saudi National Mental Health Survey Program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, Dr. Yasmine Al-Tuwaijri; This is to discuss the new phase of the National Mental Health Survey Program.
Al-Tuwaijri presented it; A visual presentation on the program’s developments, the results of field studies, and the aspirations of the work team in cooperation with the American Harvard University to apply its experience model to Saudi society groups in line with societal standards, and support the relevant authorities in achieving the desired goals of the program.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Center, Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, praised; A visit to the National Survey Program team, stressing the center’s keenness to support the next phase of the program, which will be concerned with creating preventive programs and treatment services for mental illnesses and overcoming all difficulties that hinder the implementation of the next phase of the program.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi National Mental Health Survey Program is one of the most important national programs adopted by the King Salman Center for Disability Research in its belief in the importance of mental health and the need for serious national studies that help identify the extent of the problem and the causative risk factors and develop a national strategy to deal with it.
