The National Football League (NFL) heats up on August 3, when the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets meet for the Pro Football Hall of Fame 2023 preseason at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
The 2022 NFL season came to a historic end when the top two teams in the American and National conferences, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively, met in Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.
The Chiefs ended up winning 38-35 with a historic performance from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who won Super Bowl MVP by completing 21 of 27 shooting and three touchdown passes.
It was a landmark year for Mahomes, who had already won the Regular Season MVP award. The Chiefs quarterback became the sixth player in NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL history to win multiple MVP awards for a game or championship round in his first six professional seasons. On that list are only Bobby Orr, Magic Johnson, Joe Montana, Tom Brady and Tim Duncan.

In addition, for the NFL it was a historic campaign, since they were able to take the league abroad with three games in London, one in Germany and one more in Mexico, which speaks of the internationalization of American football.
NFL preseason will start with the Browns and Jets because they both have Hall of Famers like Joe Thomas, Joe Klecko and Darrelle Revis.
But these two franchises are not the ones that generate the most expectations in the league, since the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Chiefs are the ones that everyone calls to compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
The 2023 Preseason will start in its entirety on August 10, with an average of 16 games per week.
There will be three weeks of action for the teams to warm up before the regular season begins, which is scheduled for September 8 with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Detroit Lions.

Another quarterback generating interest is Zach Wilson, who was selected second overall by the Jets. In the New York team he will have a guru like Aaron Rogers and his debut might be on August 3 once morest Cleveland.
Finally, via trade, the San Francisco 49ers received Trey Lance, who was selected by the state of North Dakota. The first opportunity to demonstrate his talent would come on August 13 with the Los Vegas Raiders.
