The National Coordination for Education rose up against the Central Social Dialogue Agreement signed on Monday, April 29, 2024, expressing rejection of its outcomes on the grounds that it excludes a group of groups and does not achieve any gains for women and men in education, whether practicing or retired.

In this context, he criticized the coordination in a statement excluding the education sector from any increase like other sectors, highlighting that the social dialogue agreement disappointed the hopes of the working class as it contains decisions that affect the right to strike and retire.

In a related context, the coordination expressed its rejection of what it called “any plan to sabotage the retirement systems and eliminate the right to strike,” calling on all women and men in education and all male and female employees in all sectors to “oppose these laws that are sabotage and restrict rights guaranteed by the Constitution and all international charters.”

On the other hand, the educational coordination renewed in its report the demand of the Ministry of National Education “to return all the detained professors to their work unconditionally, drop all malicious and retaliatory charges, and cancel all warnings and reprimands issued against the detained male and female detainees who were previously returned.”

In the same context, coordination called on the Ministry to “implement the demands of the educational groups that were responded to and agreements were signed regarding them, and the necessity of resolving the remaining outstanding files for active and retired educational workers and responding to their just and legitimate demands included in the statements, open letters, and demand memorandums.”

In addition, the coordination called for “supplementary compensation for primary and middle school teachers and specialists, a reduction in working hours, compensation for remote areas, the implementation of the demands included in the previously signed agreements, and the disbursement of promotion dues through roofing and professional examination.”

At the conclusion of its statement, the educational coordination renewed its emphasis on continuing the struggle and establishing protest and communication programs in the event of failure to respond to the just demands put forward in coordination with all components struggling in the educational arena nationally.
