The 21st National Congress of the Kuomintang took place today (28th) at the Taoyuan National Sports University Gymnasium. Unexpectedly, when the agenda was in progress in the followingnoon, party representative Xu Zhengwen asked for a reconsideration and a vote. After being vetoed by the chairman of the meeting, Zeng Yongquan expressed his dissatisfaction. There was a physical conflict with other representatives of different opinions on the spot, and Xu was pushed to the ground at one point, and even his glasses were knocked out.
The Kuomintang National Congress dealt with general proposals this followingnoon. Among them, in the fourth case, when party representative Wang Ronggui proposed a reform proposal for party elections, he advocated counting the number of people to vote, and asked the Central Standing Committee election system to return to the previous regulations before the revision of the party constitution last year. Zeng Yongquan still set off a protest because there is no proposal for re-election of the Central Standing Committee this year, and the case is still submitted to the Central Committee’s Discussion and Research Office.
The proponent of Case 5, Xu Zhengwen, took the opportunity to speak on the stage to directly put forward a reconsideration on Case 4, calling on the other party representatives to stand up and raise their hands for a second vote in solidarity with Wang Ronggui. On the question of voting, Zeng Yongquan also said that there is no so-called temporary proposal, and he will submit it to the Research Office; therefore, Xu Zhengwen asked the party representatives present loudly, “Is the party representative the highest authority?”
Xu Zhengwen also asked party chairman Zhu Lilun to appoint him as the director of the party history museum. As long as the DPP dared to copy party property once more, he would tie the gasoline barrel and die together. However, Xu Yubi Zeng Yongquan continued to advance the agenda, calling on Xu to follow the rules of procedure in his speech. The National Congress is not an election event. When Xu later explained the fifth case, he asked for a reconsideration vote, but the proposal was still submitted for discussion.
But then Xu Zhengwen explained the sixth case once more, requesting to follow the model of Zeng Xianying, the chairman of the next generation of happiness alliance, to report him to be elected as a city councilor in Wenshan District, Daan, Taipei City. Because of grabbing the bell, the first push occurred.
Later, because Xu Zhengwen’s proposal involved self-fertilization and also affected local elections, the attitude of the party representatives who originally echoed Xu changed overnight, which also made Taipei City party representatives dissatisfied. Conflict, and finally Xu was taken away from the venue, ending the farce.
