Five days after the rebellion by Wagner’s mercenaries led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a meeting took place between the latter and Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to what the Kremlin revealed.

What are the scenes behind this meeting? What is the latest news of the Wagner Group?

Let’s get straight to the point. On the morning of June 24, the day of the rebellion, Putin slammed the Wagner leader for “treason” and “stabbing in the back”.

Later in the day, Wagner fighters shot down Russian Air Force planes, killing two pilots.

After that, while Wagner’s mercenaries were only 200 kilometers from the capital, Moscow, the Kremlin concluded a deal with these mercenaries, to end the rebellion, without arresting anyone, nor holding anyone accountable legally.

Thus, Yevgeny Prigozhin was not put in handcuffs, nor was he arrested as a punishment for the rebellion.

Today, a meeting that took place between Prigozhin and his fellow Wagner leaders on the one hand and President Putin on the other hand is revealed at a round table in the Kremlin – in an exciting and dramatic development that surpasses Dostoevsky’s novels in its mystery.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Prigozhin and 35 of Wagner’s leaders had received an invitation to attend the meeting in Moscow, five days after the rebellion stopped.

According to Peskov, Prigozhin assured Putin of the loyalty of Wagner’s forces unconditionally.

But what we do not know is what exactly happened in this meeting? Or what did I prefer? However, given what happened after this meeting, it can be said that there was no “reconciliation contract” between the two parties.

I wish someone knew!!

In recent days, the official Russian media platforms have been working day and night to tarnish Prigozhin’s image.

Shameful photos were leaked to these platforms, possibly taken during a raid on Prigozhin’s palace in St. Petersburg. The pictures show gold bars, weapons and a large collection of wigs.

A report, broadcast on Russian state television, said that Prigozhin “is not Robin Hood as he tries to present himself; rather, he is a businessman with a criminal past. Many of his projects are suspicious and not legal.”

And what about the deal struck between the Kremlin and Wagner to end the rebellion on June 24?

According to the agreement, Prigozhin was supposed to leave for Belarus, accompanied by any of his Wagner comrades who wished to accompany him.

The BBC monitored the itinerary of Prigozhin’s plane when it took off to Belarus late last month, before returning to Russia on the same day.

But the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, last week denied the presence of the Wagner leader and his associates in Belarus.

So where are Wagner’s mercenaries? And where is their leader Prigozhin? And what are their plans? And what did they agree with Putin?

All that can be said for now is that we have to keep a close eye on what the next episode of this Russian thriller reveals – the June Rebellion and the Kremlin.
