After the great success it achieved, on Wednesday July 24 at the outdoor theater “G. Pappas” in Aigio, the original performance entitled “Cerce la femme”, on Wednesday 7/08/ at 9 p.m. will “travel” to Diakopto Square.
The Municipality of Aegialia, with the participation of the Mixed Choir of Aegialia and a folk orchestra, presents a period music-theatrical ethnography on the subject of the relationship between the two sexes and their eternal dispute over…domestic power!
Rebetiko and folk song are essential elements of our cultural heritage, with timeless value. Perhaps it is the misery hidden in the notes, the love, the difficulties, the sufferings and the joys. But the magic is that every folk or rebetiko song is a theatrical action in itself. That’s where the greatness lies! The image, the taste and the caress that come out of the bouzouki and the simple verse, inspired us and we dreamed of a performance full of the songs while watching their story on stage. We’ll come alive, we’ll sing dude’s love for… ungrateful! For her sake a sacrifice is made and she passes him and goes on. What can you say? When you see a man drinking, stumbling… Cherse la femme!!! Come with us, listen to uplifting songs, laugh, be moved, dance!
