After yesterday’s shooting in Hovsjö, the municipality of Södertälje cooperates with the police and other actors to provide support and create security in the municipality.
Together with the Police, Telge, Ambulance Service, the Rescue Service and Nobina, the municipality has regular meetings to coordinate the municipality’s work.
The social service in Södertälje has crisis support workers on site in Hovsjö all week and four field assistants who work throughout the municipality on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The social emergency is double staffed until Sunday.
Södertälje offers safe meeting places for young people
Even the municipality’s mobile leisure center is on site in Hovsjö until Friday where young people can meet leisure leaders. The mobile recreation center is a car that goes to different areas in the municipality and brings with it staff and activities for young people. In the car, young people can, among other things, borrow sports and music equipment. At Bårsta IP, the Culture and Leisure Office also organizes activities for young people such as football, brännball and cube games. Culture and Leisure Södertälje will also seek out young people in Geneta during the week and offer transport to the municipality’s various summer activities.
– We offer safe meeting places for children and young people. At the meeting places there is a high presence of adults who can meet the children, says Adel Eliasi, head of Youth Leisure, Södertälje municipality.
