1. Candidates for jurors may be able-bodied Bulgarian citizens who meet the following conditions: 1.1. age from 21 to 68 years; 1.2. have a current address in the municipality of Burgas, which falls within the judicial district of the District Court – Burgas and the District Court – Burgas; 1.3. have completed at least secondary education; 1.4. have not been convicted of an intentional crime, regardless of rehabilitation; 1.5. not suffer from the mentally ill; 1.6. not be jurors in another court; 1.7. not to be municipal councilors from the judicial district of the District Court – Burgas and District Court – Burgas; 1.8. not participate in the leadership of a political party, coalition or organization with political goals; 1.9. not to work in a court, prosecutor’s office, investigative bodies, the Ministry of Internal Affairs or in other bodies of the national security system located in the judicial district of the District Court – Burgas and District Court – Burgas; 1.10. not to have been elected as a juror for more than two consecutive terms at the same court. 2. The sample documents approved by the decision are as follows: 2.1. application for application to be a juror, (appendix No. 1, app. No. 1a) 2.2. declaration of absence of circumstances under Article 67, Paragraph 3 of the Civil Code (Appendix No. 2, Appendix No. 2a); 2.3. declaration of compliance with the requirement of Art. 69, Para. 2 of the Civil Code (Appendix No. 3, Appendix No. 3a); 2.4. written consent under Art. 68, Para. 3, Item 7 of the Civil Code (Appendix No. 4, Appendix No. 4a); 2.5. data on the persons under Article 68, Paragraph 3, Item 5 of the Civil Code (Appendix No. 5). The applications and documents can be downloaded from the website of the Municipal Council – Burgas, subsection news, in the Announcement on the opening of the procedure for jurors. 3. By July 7, 2023, applicants for jurors in the District Court – Burgas and the District Court – Burgas shall submit the documents under item 2 to the office of the Municipal Council – Burgas. from this decision, to which the following documents are attached: 3.1. a detailed curriculum vitae signed by the applicant; 3.2. notarized copy of diploma for completed education; 3.3 a medical certificate that the person does not suffer from a mental illness; 3.4. contact details of two persons to whom the municipal councils should contact for recommendations; 3.5. cover letter; 3.6. written consent; 3.7. declaration of absence of the circumstances under Art. 67, para. 3; 3.8. a document for an inspection carried out in accordance with the Law on access and disclosure of documents and for declaring the affiliation of Bulgarian citizens to the State Security and Intelligence Services of the Bulgarian People’s Army, if they were born before July 16, 1973. 3.9. declaration of compliance with the requirement of art. 69, para. 2 of the ZSV.
