The faction “Patra, Great and Again”, through its announcement, states the following:
Unfortunately, the rumors were confirmed in the harshest way since the Center for Creative Employment (KDAP) of South Dimitris, after 19 years of offering and supporting families, suspends its operation and transfers the children to the KDAP of Drosia, by decision of the Municipal Authority (Social Organization) and the pretext that the State does not allow it to hire the necessary staff.
Of course, the real reason for the shutdown of the KDAP lies in the inadequacy of the Municipality to keep the structure open, to develop its services and to make it competitive against private ones.
Already, since May 22, 2024, a request had been submitted for the operation of the KDAP, by the representatives of the Municipal Faction “Patra, Great Again” and members of the Board of Directors of the Social Organization, a request which, under the responsibility of the Municipal Authority, was never included as matter for discussion at a meeting.
Our faction through our representative on the Board of Directors. of the Social Organization, Mr. Antonis Harokopou, condemned both the Government for the insufficient funding and the Municipal Authority for its inadequacy to keep open the Municipality Structure that this area so desperately needs.
