The Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman amid controversy over the supplication of the Imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saleh bin Humaid: It warmed our hearts

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, expressed, on Thursday, his solidarity with the imam of the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saleh bin Humaid, amid the controversy raised by Duaa bin Humaid once morest the “occupier Jews” in last Friday’s sermon.

The Grand Mufti of Oman said, in a tweet via his Twitter account: “We were heartened by the supplication made by the Imam of the Holy Haram, our brother His Eminence Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid to support the truth and defeat falsehood, and whatever the boiling of the haters, God is with him and the believers.”

In the last Friday sermon at the Great Mosque of Mecca, Saleh bin Humaid said: “Oh God, be upon you with the usurping and occupying Jews, for they will not incapacitate you.”

Doaa Saleh bin Hamid caused an uproar on social media, amid criticism from Israeli accounts and demands to be held accountable in exchange for solidarity and support from Saudi and Arab accounts.
