The Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, called for reconciliation and consensus to secure the process of electing a new president for Lebanon. He said: Lebanon is a consensual country, and the vacuum is a disaster for the country and the Lebanese.

He added: Our role is to be alert and alert, so as not to reach the ominous consequences, and what happened in the past with regard to the presidential vacuum is not allowed to be repeated, because what might happen may be the worst. And today is not like yesterday, everything has changed in this context, and we must all work to complete the formation of the government, and to elect a new president for all the Lebanese.

He said during the memorial ceremony marking the first anniversary of the departure of Sheikh Abdul-Amir Qabalan, head of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council: Beware and then beware of reaching the presidential vacuum, and the head of the state should be a comprehensive and comprehensive reference for all Lebanese.

Mufti Derian called for the formation of a government that would advance this helpless people. He added: Forming a government is the demand of all the Lebanese. He wondered: If we cannot form a government, what will it be like to elect a new president?

On the same occasion, Sheikh Al-Aql called on the Druze community, Sheikh Dr. Sami Abi Al-Mana, to “moral commitment to the provisions of the charter and the dates of constitutional dues, starting with the formation of the government that has the confidence of the people and their representatives and is able to assume responsibility in facing the imminent challenges, leading to the election of a new, trustworthy and trustworthy president.” On the Republic, and to a new era that restores the lost confidence in the state and draws the features of tomorrow’s Lebanon, which returns to its shining reality with hope and vigor.

He directed, “One unified call is the title of a spiritual summit that we aspire to, perhaps it will be achieved soon. Perhaps the presidents and officials receive the call with positivity and chivalry, and make concessions that are profitable for all, and take exceptional and comfortable steps inside and outside, so the nation survives between profit from here and comfort from there, and the dismantling of the contract begins. One by one, instead of placing barriers, barrier following barrier, in a game similar to a game of finger-biting or a game of dancing on the edge of the abyss, which some of them venture to practice without paying attention to the pain of the people and the pain of the homeland.

The excellent Jaafari Mufti Sheikh Ahmed Qabalan, son of the late Imam, delivered a speech enumerating his father’s commandments, most notably coexistence, national unity, and Sunni-Shiite unity, and thanked all the political and religious leaders present.

He continued: We say, as Sheikh Abdul-Amir Qabalan said, commitment to the interests of this country, with its national partnership, its diversity, diversity and civil peace, support for the national project, serving the people and the poor, victory for the oppressed, the deprived, and the tormented of all sects, and dedication to the honorable resistance and the project of his inclusive state. Thank you all, long live and long live Lebanon.

The celebration took place at the headquarters of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council on Airport Road.
