The movie “Al-Zeer Salem”, starring and directed by Tim Hassan

MBC Studios, the production arm of the MBC Group, announced its cooperation with star Tim Hassan to star in and direct the movie “Al-Zeer Salem”, making it his first cinematic directorial experience.
The Syrian artist, Tim Hassan, plays the role of the Arab knight and poet Salem bin Rabia, nicknamed Al-Zir, one of the most famous characters of the Al-Basous War, which was said to have spanned nearly 40 years in the pre-dawn era of Islam.

While the script and dialogue are currently being finalized in the film, written by Bashar Abbas, dramatized by Maher Mansour, and content developed by Ahmed Nada, MBC Studios is preparing to start filming the work late next year.

In this context, Tim explained that the movie “Al-Zeer Salem” will have great production capabilities and high technical and technical specifications.

Tim added, “The great director, Mr. Hatem Ali, may God have mercy on him, was preparing for this film, so he assigned me the role of Al-Zeer Salem. At that time, scriptwriter Ziad Adwan wrote a preliminary draft of the work, but the departure of Hatem Ali forced us to stop temporarily, until I was later assigned to supervise the project, so we started once more. We are still in the preparatory stage for launch.”

Tim concluded, “I return to the historical pattern today following 15 years through the film Al-Zeer Salem, and Arab historical films are few, rather rare, and I hope that in this feature film we will be able to narrate with suspense and renew an epic biography of one of our most famous and rich Arab folklore.”
