Motorola is preparing to introduce a new range of mid-range and low-end smartphones. The company started its “2023 season” journey with the Moto G53, and now it’s gearing up for more affordable competitors. The simplest entry in the series is coming soon in the form of the Moto G13, and the device has been the target of multiple leaks in recent weeks. Now, the phone has got its design open With a new set of offers. It joins the Moto E13 that was also unveiled yesterday.
Moto G13 specifications
Just like the Moto E13, the Moto G13 comes courtesy of the folks at MySmartPrice. However, the differences are noticeable. Although the Moto G13 is the lowest entry in the Moto G series, its design is more luxurious than the Moto E13. The low-profile phone has massive bezels all around and an old teardrop-shaped design. On the other hand, the Moto G13 has a fancier punch-hole look. Aside from the design, we’re pretty sure this is an ordinary LCD. We hope it has at least a 90Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution.
Moving to the back, the Moto G13 packs a dual camera setup with an LED flash. It is a new trend for brands to reduce the number of cameras. Unfortunately, these settings usually consist of the main camera and a secondary depth sensor. So, we don’t think the Moto G13 will get some love for its ultrawide shots. In any case, the leaks indicate a resolution of 50 megapixels for the main camera.
The side frame of the Moto G13 houses the volume rocker and the power button. This power button appears to double as a fingerprint scanner. The feature appears to be absent on the Moto E13. Moving on, the bottom of the phone has a USB Type C port. Further, it has a microphone and speaker grille.
We don’t know exactly which CPU will power the phone. The Moto E13 has the modest Unisoc T606. We expect something more capable from the Moto G13. We’ll have to wait for more details. There are no expectations for the launch of new phones. However, given the number of leaks, they may appear as early as January.
