I. Korsakaitė 1961-1990 worked in various Humanities sectors of the humanitarian institutes of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, since 1985 was a senior research associate. 1990-1999 worked at the Institute of Culture and Art.

Ingrida Korsakaitė’s areas of scientific research: Lithuanian graphics, history of illustrating children’s books, diaspora art. He published regarding 200 scientific and art popularization articles on these issues in the Lithuanian and foreign press.
