The most violent Ukrainian attack on Kherson .. and Moscow “we are confronting”

As part of its counter-attack launched weeks ago, the Ukrainian forces carried out, today, Saturday, violent attacks on the city of Kherson, southern Ukraineof which the Russians occupy a large part.

Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath correspondent reported that the Ukrainian army launched the most violent attack in the canton, using fighters and helicopters, especially in the Duchani and Milovoya axes, which they had previously controlled.

In turn, the pro-Russian separatist authorities confirmed that there were Ukrainian attempts to attack the city.

“we stand up”

However, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that its forces were responding, explaining that they had thwarted several attacks on 3 areas in the province.

And the President of Kherson Vladimir Saldo, appointed by Russia, announced two days ago (October 13) that he would organize, in cooperation with Russian forces, operations to evacuate the city’s residents to other regions, for fear of Kyiv attacks.

He also suggested that the evacuation should include primarily the areas on the right bank of the Dnieper River, where Ukrainian forces were advancing.

counterattack

These statements came at the time, following the Ukrainian army announced the restoration of control over several towns in Kherson.

It is noteworthy that the Ukrainian forces have launched a counter-attack since last month in the northeast and south of the country, in an attempt to regain cities that have been under Russian control for months.

But Moscow, in conjunction with this attack, announced in late September that it had annexed 4 Ukrainian regions, namely Donetsk and Luhansk in the east, and Kherson and Zaporizhia in the south, in a move that sparked international criticism and condemnation from the United Nations, which confirmed that the decision to annex was illegal and contrary to laws and charters. International.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin “has insisted that there is no going back on this decision to annex “forever”.
