The UAE Football Association announced the use of Simon Marciniak to referee the UAE Super Cup match between Al Ain (the leader) and Sharjah (the king).
The two teams are scheduled to clash on February 25 at Al Maktoum Stadium in Dubai.
The Emirati newspaper, “Al-Bayan”, reported on the leader’s request to appoint a foreign arbitration staff for the meeting, which prompted the UAE Football Association to address a number of prominent European football federations to nominate its elite referees.
Marciniak is one of the referees who enjoy great confidence and respect, as the Polish man passed through a number of very important arbitration stations.
Marciniak’s participation in the Champions League began in 2012, to find himself in 2016 refereeing in the round of 16 of the continental competition.
Also in 2016, the 42-year-old appeared in the European Championship, where he led two matches at the group stage level, and another in the round of 16.
And when Marciniak imposed his worth, he was relied upon in the 2018 World Cup, as he refereed two matches at the group stage level.
The 2021 Arab Cup was a rehearsal for the man born in the city of Block, especially since he did well and was able to lead the semi-final summit between host Qatar and Algeria.
Marciniak then secured his participation in the 2022 World Cup, where he had the honor of managing the final match between Argentina and France, which is the brightest station in his arbitration career.
