New York, USA (CNN) – The “WhatsApp” application has revealed a set of awaited updates to the voice messaging service, that will facilitate the process of users’ communication, the most prominent of which may be stopping the recording temporarily and then resuming it.
The company stated that WhatsApp users send an average of 7 billion voice messages every day, and that these updates come to help get a better experience.
The following are the updates that this service has witnessed, which will be rolled out in the coming weeks, according to what was stated on the application’s website:
1- Listen outside the chat: This feature will enable you to listen to any voice message outside the chat, while doing other things at the same time on your device.
2- Pause and Resume Recording: When you record an audio message, you can pause and resume recording when you’re ready.
3- Recorded message waveform: A visual display of audio messages to help track the recording.
4- Draft voice messages: This feature will enable you to listen to your voice messages before sending them.
5- Remember when you stopped listening: If you pause listening to an audio message, you will be able to pick up where you left off when you return to the conversation.
6- Fast playback of resent messages: Playing voice messages at x1.5 or x2 speed for regular and forwarded messages as well.
