MediaTek Dimensity 8100 — an octa-core chipset that was announced on March 1, 2022 and is manufactured using a 5nm process technology. It has 4 Cortex-A78 cores at 2850MHz and 4 Cortex-A55 cores at 2000MHz. More about the new product you can read here.

In the multi-threaded test, the Dimensity 8100 was faster than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but in the single-threaded test, the result let us down.
Recall, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is an eight-core chipset manufactured using a 4-nanometer process technology. This is Qualcomm’s newest addition to the Snapdragon 888, which brings significant improvements to key features including performance, photo and video capabilities, AI, security, and 5G connectivity.
