In fact, you don’t need to know the address to find it. He finds you. On a walk through Cotroceni, the historical monument building catches the eye, from any direction you come.

We know about the Gagel family that it came from Germany, and when Otto Gagel was born in 1890, his father, Frederick Gagel, was 22 years old, and his mother, Charlotte Konnerth, was 17.

Carol Gagel, who appears in the documents as the owner of the Palace with mature Mediterranean style architecture, was most likely his brother.

We also know that the Otto Gagel bakery products factory was located on Puțul cu apă rece street and offered the best bakery products in Bucharest, famous being the Otto Gagel biscuits. He was also the supplier of the Royal House of Romania.

After the factory was nationalized, it was called “Red Flag”.

Discover, on B365.ro, an exceptional project, an emblematic building for Bucharest’s Mediterranean architecture, the work of two great architects, little known for how wonderfully they built.
