The British company belonging to the BMW Group has revealed a good part of its roadmap for the coming years. Rolls-Royce has already paved the way in the most elite electrification with the arrival of the Specter, a model with a coupe body and a level of luxury and sophistication at the height of what is imaginable for this brand. However, as expected, new ‘zero emissions’ alternatives will arrive in the range after this.

It is nothing new that Rolls-Royce seeks to become a 100% electric brand throughout the next decade. This is something that numerous managers and managers have admitted, although without specifying a specific year for this to take place. We now know that they will not reach this goal during the first years of the next decade.

Currently the brand only markets one electric car: the Rolls-Royce Spectre.

Against all odds, Rolls-Royce will keep its V12 alive

Despite this objective, from the middle Auto News They claim that Rolls-Royce will keep your V12 gasoline engine alive for a few more years. Specifically, its disappearance is not expected until well into the next decade, since the Cullinan will continue to be sold alongside this block for at least six more years, since the brand does not plan a replacement in the near future.

However, in terms of upcoming 100% electric launches, Rolls-Royce will launch in 2027 a renewal of the Specterdespite the fact that its commercialization began only a year ago. For now it is not clear what its new features will be, although everything indicates that its design will remain unchanged and its tuning will be based mainly on an update of its electrical mechanics and multimedia technology.

Rolls-Royce is also expected to launch a new SUV smaller than the current Cullinan. For now all the details of this model are unknown, although it is known for certain that it will be 100% electric. Its arrival is planned for some time in 2027.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom will have an electric alternative in 2028.

One year later, at the end of the year 2028, Rolls-Royce will present a new fully electric luxury sedan. This model will be an alternative to the current Phantom, the crown jewel of the brand. However, it is not clear if both models will coexist together or if the electric one will fully replace the current model. What is clear is that it will have to set the bar very high to convince the most elite customers, since the Phantom, in itself, is an icon within the British company.

It is clear that Rolls-Royce’s current interest is to become, to a large extent, a 100% electric car brand, although maintaining the luxury and distinction by which this company has historically been characterized. Let us remember that today the company offers both the Phantom, Ghost and the Cullinan with a 6.75-liter V12 engine, as well as the aforementioned Specter as the only electric alternative.
