The most convincing victory of the CH season

Looks like the Canadian was bored of his supporters. To celebrate their return to the Bell Center for the first time since December 9, Martin St-Louis’ troupe offered them a splendid victory once morest the Maple Leafs.

In this 5-2 win in front of 10,552 spectators, it was the trio of Josh Anderson, Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield who hosted the show. Praised by their coach before the match, the three friends joined forces for three of their team’s five goals.

“Those are three players I can see together for several years,” St-Louis said.

Scoring his sixth goal of the season and helping on two occasions, Caufield now has eight points in his last six games. That is the same number as during his first 30 games.

What we noticed…

Don’t wait for Dvorak and Armia

The Canadian indicated that Christian
Dvorak and Joel Armia are expected to miss a few more games. We are not talking regarding long-term absences, but these are not cases of daily evaluation. Injured in the upper body, Dvorak must, for some time, content himself with rehabilitation sessions. As for Armia, it is said that he is still very battered following the kick he received in the face last Thursday. However, he does not suffer from a concussion.

A destination for Chiarot

If the Maple Leafs want to become serious contenders for the Stanley Cup, they will have to find a way to tighten up their defense. TJ Brodie, Morgan Rielly and Justin Holl rocked it all night. The Canadian might certainly offer them the services of Ben Chiarot.

Petr Mrazek disappoints

The Maple Leafs hired Petr Mrazek at a high price in hopes of having a reliable backup goaltender. With an efficiency rate below .900, the Czech does not offer a very good return on investment. Moreover, yesterday, he seemed weak on a few Habs goals. At the end of this season, he will still have two campaigns left under his agreement, at $3.8 million each. His disappointing outfit is probably not unrelated to the acquisition of Carter Hutton during the day yesterday.

We saw him very little And not only because he only spent 13:46 on the ice The defender was hardly ever involved in the game
