The Syrian artist, Hiam Tohme, was born in 1961 in Aleppo. She graduated from the Teachers’ House in Syria, and obtained a higher degree in Education and Child Psychology from Paris, and worked as a teacher.
She participated with the Syrian actor Duraid Lahham in the play “Kask Ya Watan”, and turned to singing, and also participated in many series and films.

She presented a large number of songs, including “Our Love El Gab”, “Bushugoulin Aleik”, “Karb Ma Tqlosh La”, “Balash Maanadah”, “Leilat Barah”, “Qalhali”, “Siboni”, and “Anta Taghret”.
Hiam Tohme has collaborated with major stars in the world of song, including musician Sayed Makkawi, musician Muhammad Sultan, and poet Omar Bteisha.
Hiam Tohme spoke in television interviews regarding her experience in Egyptian cinema, and that the roles she was offered took place in the orbit of temptation, and she was forced to embody them because she was promised better roles later, and the days passed and she did not play the expected role despite filming nine films.
She battled cancer for years, before defeating her in 2020, with her strenuous unit in the Netherlands, at the age of 58.
