The MOPH overturned the statistics, found that Thai patients with dengue fever – malaria increased 3 times

On 16 Jan. 2023, Dr. Tares Krassanairawiwong Director General Department of Disease Control Revealing reports of communicable disease cases caused by outbreaks transmitted by mosquitoes.increaseup, including dengue and malaria. In 2022, there were 45,145 accumulated dengue patients, 4.5 times more than in 2021, with 31 deaths from dengue.​

In the year 2022 A total of 10,174 malaria cases were found, with a rate three times higher than 2021 and likely to continue to increase in 2023.

For the provinces where the highest number of patients were Tak, Mae Hong Son and Kanchanaburi, most of them were foreigners and there were 2 deaths. As for fever, joint pain, mosquitoes, there were 1,370 cumulative cases, although no deaths were reported.​ But the number of patients is 2 times higher than in 2021
