The monster who cut his wife into 224 pieces 2024-04-09 18:27:34

Nicholas Metson had admitted murdering 26-year-old Holly Bramley in March 2023. He then paid a friend £50 to help him dispose of her remains in a river.

The 28-year-old stabbed his wife at least four times before dismembering her and storing her body parts for a week in the kitchen cupboard of their Lincoln apartment.

Prosecutors described Mattson as “cruel and barbaric,” saying the way he cut his wife into at least 224 separate pieces went far beyond what was needed to move the body.

A court was told that Ms Bramley’s remains were discovered by a passer-by who initially thought they belonged to an animal.

The court heard that some of Mrs Bramley’s remains, including parts of her heart, were never found.

Mattson had told Lincolnshire Police that his wife had left their home – but officers noticed a “strong smell of bleach” and found blood-stained sheets, as well as a saw in a towel.

After his arrest officers discovered he had been Googling “ways to dispose of a dead body” as well as “what are the benefits if my wife dies”.

But a security camera showed him on March 25, 2023, carrying several bags from their apartment to the 14th floor. He even asked for the help of a friend of his, 28-year-old Joshua Hancock, to get rid of the dismembered body.
