In August 2020, the Chinese studio Game Science announced an incredibly technological and spectacular action game, Black Myth: Wu Kong, whose main character will be the Monkey King of Chinese legends.
What we know
The game is of great interest to the public and raises high expectations.
The developers aren’t very active in sharing details about Black Myth: Wu Kong, only a few impressive trailers have been released since the game was announced.
Today, Geoff Keighley, the permanent host of the gamescom opening ceremony, announced that the developers will be showcasing new Black Myth: Wu Kong material at the show.
It is likely that the release date of the game and the list of platforms on which it will be available will be known during the show. Since the project is created on Unreal Engine 5 and uses the most advanced technologies, do not expect the game about the King of the Monkeys to appear on the latest generation consoles.
When can we expect it?
Gamescom 2023 will take place from August 23-27. The opening ceremony will take place on August 22 at 8:00 p.m. CEST.
