Al-Marsad newspaper: The Egyptian actress, Laila Elwi, raised the public’s concern over her, following she revealed that she had been seriously injured during the filming of her new series, and published a video explaining how she was injured, and also published pictures revealing the extent of the injury.
Laila Elwi appeared in the video that she published, embodying her role in one of the scenes in her new series, “Donya Tania”, where she was agitated while watching a picture in her hand before it was smashed and severely injured in her hands due to broken glass in her hand. She also published a set of photos of her hand while she was in the hospital, After she underwent 9 cosmetic stitches, the pictures showed the extent of the injury she sustained.
Laila Elwi reassured the audience regarding her health, and explained that she was injured while filming a scene she described as difficult, with a cut in the palm that led to the work of 9 stitches, noting that she returned to filming as soon as she was subjected to a sewing in her hand because she might not stop due to the approaching month of Ramadan and any delay would not be in the interest of the series. Although the director and producer asked her to rest.
And she commented on the video, which revealed how she was injured, saying: “You can see part of the scene in the video, but you don’t complement the other if you don’t want to see the extent of the injury… Pray for us to continue well.”
The artist recounted the details of the injury during a telephone intervention on the “A Last Word” program, presented by the media, Lamis Al-Hadidi, explaining that it was an important scene, although it was silent, but it contained scenes of anger and emotion, adding: Although I was not asked to break the glass and I might have caught a need to hit the glass, but I did not feel By myself, you met me by breaking it with my hands, and despite the bleeding, I completed the scene for the other.”
And she continued: “I continued to some extent, the pain increased and I did not know how to apply my hands and fingers. I told them I was tired and went to the hospital, and I merged with the scene and the emotion and I felt myself and took 9 stitches in a cosmetic way.”
