The Heritage Days are an opportunity for the general public to discover cultural and historical places for free. For the 2023 edition, the Minor opens the doors of its workshop, located in the Morbihan department.

Labeled “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” in April 2023, Le Minor has specialized in the manufacture of knitwear made in France for more than a hundred years. While Heritage Days will be held this year under the theme of “Living Heritage”, Le Minor will open the doors of its workshop to visitors. On the program: guided tours and discovery of know-how, from sewing to manual cutting, including knitting.

Created in 1922 in Lorient, and taken over in 2018 by two entrepreneurs, Sylvain Flet and Jérôme Permingeat, the company is pleased to ensure all the manufacturing stages of its parts in its own premises.

“Since 2018 and the takeover of Le Minor, we have sought to consecrate in the best possible way the know-how at work in our workshops, as well as the unique status of a historic manufacturer brand. There are several labels, textiles or not, but none sums up our fight to maintain our know-how as well as the “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” label. Indeed, this label deals with heritage, and that is what is at stake in the mission that we have given ourselves by re-developing Le Minor”, explains, in a press release, Sylvain Flet, co-director of Le Minor.

Heritage Days 2023 are scheduled for September 16 to 17, in France and in more than 50 countries in Europe.
