Vinh Long voters suggested that the construction progress of the My Thuan – Can Tho expressway should be accelerated because the road construction works were damaged, affecting people.
The Ministry of Transport has just sent a written response to the voters of Vinh Long province on the construction of the My Thuan – Can Tho expressway.
Previously, through the People’s Volunteer Committee, Vinh Long voters proposed the Ministry of Transport to speed up the construction progress of the My Thuan – Can Tho highway (the section passing through Thuan An commune). Because according to voters, construction works damaged roads, causing difficulties for travel and affecting people’s economy.
Answering voters, the Ministry of Transport said that the construction project of the My Thuan – Can Tho expressway, phase 1, will be implemented from the beginning of 2021 and is expected to be completed in April 2023.
However, the delay in handing over the ground by localities has greatly affected the progress of the implementation because the route going through the soft ground area needs to have enough time to wait for subsidence, until the end of July 2022 to complete the table. at the intersection of the main route and is still 25 m entangled at the intersection of national highway 80.
The Ministry of Transport said that it is directing contractors to aggressively carry out construction, currently completing the work of embankment and loading of the roadbed, completing the construction of bridges on the main route, and the bidding packages are carrying out settlement monitoring. In the favorable case, the roadbed settlement is consistent with the forecast of the design documents, the project will be completed and put into operation by the end of 2023.
For damage (if any) of local roads used for project construction, the Ministry of Transport will direct the investor and related units to inspect and promptly detect, repair within the scope of the contractor’s responsibility, minimizing the impact on people’s daily life.
