The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has prepared a decree of the Government of the Russian Federation in order to neutralize the consequences of sanctions once morest civil aviation. The bill is posted on the portal regulation.gov.ru, the agency proposes to extend the validity of airworthiness certificates of foreign-made civil aircraft for six months (domestic aircraft in Russia are a minority). This applies to aircraft whose certificate expired following March 1st.

In addition, the bill proposes to reduce the maximum period for issuing airworthiness certificates – in the next six months this will have to be done in five days. It is planned to suspend until September 1 the conduct of scheduled, unscheduled verification activities in relation to civil aviation organizations. Thus, the Government of the Russian Federation wants to save the aviation industry in Russia.

The certificate of airworthiness is an inspection for aircraft and helicopters, following which the vessel is allowed to fly. Because of EU sanctions and the refusal of foreign companies to work with our carriers, it became impossible to pass certification. This procedure takes place abroad, and planes cannot get there, because they will be immediately arrested there because of all the same sanctions.

Russian airlines massively refuse international flights and completely suspend their programs. S7 has already done this, Aeroflot, Pobeda, Nordwind and even the major charter carrier Azur Air have announced their imminent plans to repeat this move. The latter cited as the reason that due to the closure of airspace, the path to the resorts of Egypt and Turkey became 1.5 hours longer.

Governor of the Sakhalin Region Valery Limarenko recently declaredthat Aurora is not going to give away its planes anywhere.
