Vienna/Linz – The Ministry of the Environment has reiterated its criticism of the killing of wolves and explained it in detail in statements on the ordinances of several federal states. Among other things, the department criticizes the “lack of individual assessment” and the “lack of purpose-means relationship” according to the EU’s Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive (FFH). According to a ministry letter available to the APA, the regulations do not justify whether a shot is suitable for achieving the target.
